Journal 29/05/2018 Weekly

The bank holiday weekend was very successful I always worry on weekends when I am not in my daily routine. Rather than trying to plan what to eat on weekends I have started to just eat anything and if it fits within my macros its all good. When I planned my meals I ultimately always failed, then felt out of control went off plan, then felt bad about it.

For example I went out Friday had a burger and allowed for it in my day then Saturday went to a BBQ and ate what I wanted as long as within my macros. This seemed to work and didn’t hamper my progress.

Training wise I hit my chest and abs on Sunday on my new mesocycle which saw me carryout the following exercise;

  • Dumbebll Incline Bench 3 sets 6 reps
  • Barbell Incline Bench 3x 5 reps
  • Flat Barbell Bench 3x 5 reps
  • Abs Circuit x3
    • Landmine Abs
    • Cable Crunch
    • Plank

Monday I hit back and calves with a long workout about 1 hour 30 minutes which was the following;

  • DeadLifts 3 sets 4 reps
  • T-Bar Row 4 sets 6 reps
  • Pullups 3 sets till failure
  • Cable Rows 3 sets 6 reps
  • Shoulder Shrugs
  • Calf Raises Standing 3 sets 12 reps
  • Calf Raises on Leg Press 3 sets 12 reps

Monday night I hit some cardio and then again this morning it was a cardio session. Next weights session will be my shoulders on Wednesday morning. Tonight is rest with a soak in the bath as deadlifts take it out of me.

Foodwise today I have been spot on there and now just cooking my tea of chicken breast and avacado.
